<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide single crystal diamond having few crystal defects on the main surface, and to provide a diamond composite containing the single crystal diamond, and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The diamond composite is configured of at least two plate-like single crystal diamonds, and is formed by bonding each single crystal diamond by a bonding layer interposed between each main surface.
