摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an olivine type positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries, which has fine particle diameter, and which exhibits superior battery characteristics when used as a positive electrode active material; and a method for manufacturing a positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries by use of a fine precursor with a uniform composition.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a precursor of a positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries comprises: a mixture solution-preparing step for preparing a mixture solution of divalent nickel ions and phosphate ions; and a crystallization step for regulating the mixture solution in a range of pH6 to pH8 by adding ammonia to cause a co-precipitation, thereby obtaining a nickel phosphate salt. A method for manufacturing a positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries comprises the steps of mixing the precursor with a lithium salt, and subsequently, performing a thermal treatment at 250-800°C, thereby obtaining a lithium nickel composite phosphate expressed by the following general formula: LiNiPO(0.95≤x≤1.05, and 0.95≤y≤1.05).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
