An immersive display enclosure 310 comprises housing 312 with outer 326 and inner 324 walls that define a cavity 328 between them and are bridged to form an entranceway 322. The inner wall has surfaces forming a chamber. A projector system 340 is arranged to project images onto the chamber side of the inner wall, a computer system 330 for controlling the projected images is at least partially located in the cavity. The inner wall may comprise a support structure, such as a shelf 327, for supporting the projector system. The inner wall may include a vertical screen 320a. The surfaces of the inner wall may be curved and/or metallic, the walls may comprise access panels. Support wheels 348, preferably omnidirectional with brakes; may be provided underneath the housing. The housing may extend 180º or more around the viewing area. The users movements may be tracked by a camera system 342. |
