<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly adjust a flow of inflating gas in an opening part to suitably adjust internal pressure of an airbag. <P>SOLUTION: An inflating part 46 of the airbag is partitioned into an upstream inflating part 47 and a downstream inflating part by a partition member 50. The partition member 50 is provided with a pressure adjusting valve 70 having an inner opening part 71 constituted of a slit, and a pair of valve element parts. Both valve element parts are pressed by the inflating gas in the inflating part 47 before restraining an occupant by the upstream inflating part 47 and come in contact with each other, to regulate the flow of the inflating gas in the inner opening part 71. When the occupant is restrained, an external force to be added accordingly deflect the valve element parts via the partition member 50 to be separated from each other, thereby allowing the inflating gas to flow in the inner opening part 71. A projection plane PR on which the partition member 50 is projected to a plane S orthogonal to the flow direction of the inflating gas in the inner opening part 71, has an elliptic part PR1 in which a ratio (L3/L4) of a dimension L3 in the direction orthogonal to the slit to a dimension L4 in the slit longitudinal direction is 1.1-5.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
