PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use the output dynamic range of a sensor more effectively.
SOLUTION: An image processor includes: an image sensor having multiple sensor chips; a light source; and a circuit for receiving input signals from the image sensor thereby and performing offset adjustment, gain adjustment, and A/D conversion. The image processor acquires dark time output values of the respective sensor chips at a predetermined initial gain value, and calculates a dark time differential value between the maximum dark time output value and the minimum dark time output value among the acquired dark time output values of the sensor chips. Then, a new target range is set by adding the dark time differential value to a predetermined initial target range. A new gain value is calculated based on the regulation input range of the A/D conversion and the new target range and set in the circuit.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
|
