<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection system capable of collecting data of a normally operating detection module even when a detection module that malfunctions is intermingled while easily specifying a signal processing substrate that malfunctions, and an X-ray CT apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation detection system 1 includes a radiation detector 106 with a plurality of detection modules 200 connected, and a data collecting device 107A collecting data from the plurality of radiation detectors 106. The respective detection modules 200 and the data collecting device 107A are connected in parallel. The data collecting device 107A temporarily holds, in memories 204, data output from the detection modules 200, and reads data from each memory 204 by the control of a control chip 206 and outputs the data to an image processing system.
