<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein expression system allowing utilization for both positive control (an increase in protein mass) and negative control (a decrease in the protein mass) of an expression level, as well as exertion of time control over the expression level, and further utilization for spatial control of the expression level, and to provide uses etc., thereof. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for expressing the protein including following steps (1) and (2), i.e. (1) a step of preparing a section containing an expression construct containing an Anabaena sensory rhodopsin-responsive pigment protein promoter and a target protein gene under control thereof, and a factor necessary for gene expression, wherein the Anabaena sensory rhodopsin is expressed; and (2) a step of irradiating light of a wavelength allowing activation of the Anabaena sensory rhodopsin to the section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
