The distributor has a transportation line (2) for delivering a medium. A housing (4) surrounds the transportation line in section. A sealing device (10) e.g. flexural vibration-sensor device, is provided to seal the transportation line. The sealing device has a channel (12), where a sealing medium e.g. sterile gas, flows within the channel. Sensor devices (14, 14a, 24, 24a) detect physical characteristics e.g. thickness, of the sealing medium and deliver a measuring signal, which is representative for the physical characteristics of the sealing medium. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating the rotary distributor. |
