A downhole tool (1) is described, arranged for connection to a fluid-carrying string (4), the downhole tool (1) including : - a first reversibly expandable sealing element (11a); - a second reversibly expandable sealing element (11b) placed at an axial distance from the first reversibly expandable sealing element (11a); - one or more fluid ports (12) positioned between the two reversibly expandable sealing elements (11a, 11b) and arranged to be put in fluid communication with the fluid-carrying string (4); - a first anchoring device (13a) arranged to engage a pipe body (21) in a well (2); and - one or more electromotors (14a, 14b) arranged at least to operate the two reversibly expandable sealing elements (11a, 11b) and the first anchoring device (13a), characterized by the downhole tool (1) further including : - a first mechanically activatable release mechanism (15a) arranged at least to disengage the first anchoring device (13a) from the pipe body (21). A method utilizing a downhole tool (1) according to the invention is described as well. |
