<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy saving furnace having higher thermal efficiency because a linear continuous heat treatment furnace needs a large space in the longitudinal direction and an area is to be secured through the performance and structure of some heat insulating material have been investigated. <P>SOLUTION: A continuous heat treatment furnace 100 transfers a work in a furnace space to treat it continuously. In the furnace space, there is included a turnup configured such that the transfer direction of the work changes for almost 180 degrees.
