Testing coins.-A coin-testing device of the type in which a lever pivoted in a coin shoot is lifted by a coin of the correct weight, is adapted to arrest a coin of excessive diameter. Such a coin raises the lever g so that it encounters the end j<1> of a spring j and the coin is thereby arrested. The plane of the shoot is laterally inclined, as shown in Fig. 3, so that a coin of too small diameter falls through an aperture k in the wall of the shoot. Arrested coins are released on pulling the delivery drawer, which by a connection moves the flap d with its ledge c against the closing spring i away from the fixed wall f.</p> |
