The present invention provides a device for generating improved fluorine gas. The device for generating fluorine gas comprises: an electrolyzer which accommodates an electrolyte containing hydrogen fluoride; a pair of cathodes impregnated in the electrolyte, wherein each cathode has an island shape, and has a plurality of gas holes aligned and disposed in the cathodes; an anode which is arranged between the cathodes, and is impregnated in the electrolyte; and a cooling coil arranged on the opposite side with respect to a side on which each cathode faces the anode. Accordingly, fluorine generating efficiency is increased.
