Stationary - mould presses.-Press tables of machines for pressing bricks or the moulding- boxes carried thereby, of the kind provided with interchangeable walls so as to form a number of individual moulds the size of which can be varied, are fitted with interlocked side and end liners for each mould. Figs. 1 and 2 show a press table having two fixed side members 1, 2 spaced by bolts 11 with which cross members 3 spaced by end liners 16 have a sliding connection. Bolts 12, 13 secure the members 3 in position and the length of the members 16 fixes the size of the mould. Side liners 15 have projecting ends fitting the recesses in the members 1, 2 and also closely engaging recesses in the members 16. Various forms of liners for the longitudinal members 1, 2 are described, including inclined liners and walls for producing wedge-shaped key blocks for arches. Figs. 7 and 8 show a separate moulding box, the side members 1, 2 of which are secured by bolts 26 to the press table. The transverse members 3 and liners 16 are secured in the members 1, 2 as in the prior constructions. |
