An acoustical horn, comprising: a top portion including at least a first conic surface; and a bottom portion defined by a plurality of discontinuous line segments revolved to generate a plurality of differentiated conic surfaces, the first surface of the top portion and the plurality of differentiated conic surfaces of the bottom portion configured for the purpose of redirecting spherical waves received from a transducer into an environment in which the acoustical horn is located, the transducer being substantially orthogonal to the radiated acoustical output; and further comprising a back portion extending between the top and bottom portions, the back portion having an arc length of between 140° and 180°. |
