The present invention relates to an antibacterial peptide. More specifically, the present invention relates to: mutant antibacterial peptide, which significantly improves resistibility against protease and activity in a serum by transforming partial amino acid of halocodin, which is the antibacterial peptide separated from a Halocynthia aurantium body fluid cell; and an antibacterial agent containing the antibacterial peptide as an active ingredient. The antibacterial peptide of the present invention has excellent resistibility against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and especially antibiotic resistant bacteria, and has strong antifungal activity against fungi. As the antibacterial peptide which overcomes a problem of antibacterial activity loss caused by hydrolysis by the protease and a nonspecific bonding with serum protein, which are big obstacles of practicalizing the antibacterial peptide, the antibacterial peptide can be effectively used as a novel peptide antibiotic. |
