发明名称 Geometry for PET imaging
摘要 A positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, including a first detector portion arranged circumferentially around a patient pallet, the first detector portion having a predetermined axial extent and transaxially subtending more than 180 degrees, but less than 360 degrees with respect to a central axis of the scanner defined by the first detector portion; and a second detector portion arranged separately from and opposing the first detector section, the second detector portion having a radius of curvature smaller than a radius of curvature of the first detector portion, wherein the second detector portion transaxially subtends less than 180 degrees with respect to the central axis of the scanner.

主权项 1. A positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, comprising: exactly two detector portions, including a first detector portion arranged circumferentially around a patient pallet, the first detector portion including a plurality of first detector elements arranged to form a first semicircle having a first diameter, wherein the first detector portion transaxially subtends a first angle more than 180 degrees, but less than 360 degrees with respect to a central axis of the scanner defined by the first detector portion; anda second detector portion arranged separately from and opposing the first detector portion, the second detector portion including a plurality of second detector elements arranged to form a second semicircle having a second diameter, the second diameter being smaller than the first diameter, wherein the second detector portion transaxially subtends a second angle less than the first angle with respect to the central axis of the scanner so that a sum of the first and second angles is substantially 360 degrees and the second detector portion is below the patient pallet, and wherein the second detector portion is arranged closer to a central axis of the scanner than the first detector portion, and each of the second detector elements has a second detection surface size that is smaller, in proportion to a decrease in the second diameter from the first diameter, than a first detection surface size of each of the first detector elements.
