1. A nonaqueous ink composition for ink jet recording, containing:
a glitter pigment, wherein particles of the glitter pigment are tabular with an average thickness of 5-100 nm; a solvent represented by the following formula:wherein R1 represents an alkyl group containing one to eight carbon atoms and R2 and R3 represent a methyl group or an ethyl group; and
an alicyclic saturated hydrocarbon, wherein the glitter pigment is present in the nonaqueous ink composition in an amount between 0.5 and 2.0% by mass, the solvent is present in the nonaqueous ink composition in an amount between 2 and 50% by mass, and the alicyclic saturated hydrocarbon is present in the nonaqueous ink composition in an amount between 10 and 25% by mass.
