A filter assembly having at least two filter caps produced from a planar composite sheet of heat liquefied adhesive and metal layer (typically sheet metal). The filter caps are adhered to a porous, typically pleated, filter media positioned, which is generally an air filter, within channels of each filter cap wherein the adhesive, typically a plastisol, adheres the filter caps to the filter media and can impregnate the filter media. |
