Disclosed are a system and method for controlling an air circuit breaker of a switchgear capable of improving a structure for controlling between a distributing system and an air circuit breaker and between the air circuit breaker and an ACB switch board, and conveniently operating operation of the ACB switch board from a long distance. The system for controlling an air circuit breaker of a switchgear comprises: a microprocessor for monitoring control signals transmitted and received from a distributing system including an air circuit breaker, and for detecting an abnormal state control signal among the control signals; an ACB switchboard part for generating a first open control signal for turning off power supplied to the distributing system by receiving the abnormal state control signal through a local area network, and a second open control signal for turning off the power when checking the failed distributing system according to a request of a user; and an air circuit breaker (ACB) for opening a distributing track of the distributing system by receiving the first open control signal and the second open control signal through the local area network according to control of the microprocessor. Therefore, the number of the conventional control cables is reduced, and an ACB switch board can be conveniently operated from a long distance by an air circuit breaker every time and every where at the same time. |
