摘要 A solar cell is provided that increases a rate of sunlight absorbed into a photoelectric conversion layer by forming a transparent conductive layer into a plurality of layers having different oxygen contents and different light absorption coefficients, and a manufacturing method thereof. The solar cell includes a substrate, a transparent conductive layer, and a photoelectric conversion layer. The transparent conductive layer includes a first layer having a first light absorption coefficient, and a second layer formed on the first layer and having a second light absorption coefficient higher than the first light absorption coefficient.

A solar cell including a substrate, a transparent conductive layer with a multilayer structure formed on the substrate, a photoelectric conversion layer, and a rear electrode, the transparent conductive layer comprising: a first layer formed on the substrate and having a first light absorption coefficient and a first refractive index; and a second layer formed on the first layer and having a second light absorption coefficient higher than the first light absorption coefficient and a second refractive index lower than the first refractive index, wherein an incident light passes through the photoelectric conversion layer and is reflected from the rear electrode, wherein the first layer reflects the reflected light back to the second layer, and wherein the second layer reabsorbs the reflected light, wherein the first layer is disposed closer to the substrate than the second layer, and the second layer is disposed closer to the photoelectric conversion layer than the first layer, wherein the transparent conductive layer includes a zinc oxide (ZnO)-based material as a basic material; wherein an oxygen content of the first layer is higher than an oxygen content of the second layer and wherein oxygen contents of the first and second layers are reduced as the first and second layers extend away from the substrate.
