The present invention relates to a paper feeding apparatus for an image forming apparatus comprising: a first paper feeding roller for transferring printed media stacked on a first paper feeding tray; a first unidirectional rotation transmission member coaxially installed in the first paper feeding roller for transmitting unidirectional rotatory power to the first paper feeding roller; a second paper feeding roller installed at a distance away from the first paper feeding tray for transferring printed media stacked on a second paper feeding tray; a second unidirectional rotation transmission member coaxially installed in the second paper feeding roller for transmitting unidirectional rotatory power to the second paper feeding roller; a driving source for generating driving power for rotating the first paper feeding roller and a second paper feeding roller; a first power transmission member installed between the first unidirectional rotation transmission member and the driving source for transmitting power of the driving source to the first unidirectional rotation transmission member; and a second power transmission member installed between the second unidirectional rotation transmission member and the driving source for transmitting power of the driving source to the second unidirectional rotation transmission member. If the driving source rotates in one direction, the first paper feeding roller is rotated by the first unidirectional rotation transmission member, thereby printed media of the first paper feeding tray is transferred. If the driving source rotates in the opposite direction, the second paper feeding roller is rotated by the second unidirectional rotation transmission member, thereby printed media of the second paper feeding tray is transferred.
