PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an assembling method of a universal joint which can accurately assemble a cup bearing to a portion between a circular hole constituting a yoke and a tip of a shaft part constituting a cross joint irrespective of a variation of a dimension of an inside face of a connecting arm part.SOLUTION: A pair of support arm parts 35 for supporting inside faces of a pair of connecting arm parts 10 are moved to a direction in which the support arm parts are separated from each other by the drive of a servo motor 36, the movement is stopped at a time point at which prescribed torque is generated at the servo motor 36, and the support of the connecting arm parts is finished. Then, a displacement amount (&Dgr;α) in a center position P of the support arm parts 35 in a state that the connecting arm parts 10 are supported from a mechanical center position O of the support arm parts 35 is acquired by using a pulse number of the servo motor 36, and moving amounts to a front part of a press-fit punch 33 are corrected on the basis of the displacement amount, respectively. |
