PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber which has a structure for making an oil seal and a seal holder into an assembly with a rod guide and thereby enables easy processing and assembly of the shock absorber.SOLUTION: A shock absorber includes: a cylinder 1 in which an action chamber L is formed; an annular rod guide 2 fixed to a one-side opening part of the cylinder 1; a rod 4 which is inserted into the inner side of the rod guide 2 so as to move in an axial direction; an annular oil seal 10 which is attached to the action chamber L side of the rod guide 2 and slidably contacts with an outer peripheral surface of the rod 4; and an annular seal holder 13 which supports the oil seal 10 from the action chamber side. The rod guide 2 includes a holding part 2c which holds the seal holder 13. |
