PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance to clean the surface of a roughening roller 400.SOLUTION: A cleaning roller 415 is urged in a direction substantially orthogonal to the oscillation direction of a roughening roller 400 and is arranged to be constantly in contact with the roughening roller 400, so as to make the peripheral speeds of the roughening roller 400 and the cleaning roller 415 different from each other by a contact and separation operation of the roughening roller 400. Thus, performance to remove minute foreign substances filling the spaces between abrasive grains is improved, which makes it possible to maintain the surface roughness of the roughening roller 400 that is necessary for maintaining the surface roughness of a surface layer of a fixing member 105 in a constant state. |
