PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired lift amount of an exhaust valve even if stop time of an internal combustion engine is relatively long.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine control device comprises: a decompression device 50 releasing a cylinder internal compression pressure; and a control unit configured to control the decompression device 50. The decompression device 50 includes an exhaust valve 9; a valve spring 51; a rocker arm 52; a hydraulic lash adjuster (HLA) 53; a cam member 59 capable of selectively lifting the HLA 53 to an opening side of the exhaust valve 9; and a decompression-device actuator driving the cam member 59. The control unit activates the decompression-device actuator to lift the HLA 53 so as to always open the exhaust valve 9 at a time of starting an internal combustion engine. The control unit increases a lift amount of the HLA 53 at a time of restarting the internal combustion engine if stop time from stop to restart of the internal combustion engine exceeds predetermined time, from the lift amount if the stop time does not exceed the predetermined time. |
