PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which are improved in technique relating to position tracking relative to conventional one.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an ultrasonic probe, a sensing device, calculation means and image data generation means. The ultrasonic probe includes a plurality of transducers transmitting ultrasonic waves in response to electric signals and generating electric signals in response to received ultrasonic waves. The sensing device is provided on the ultrasonic probe and detects a three-dimensional angle rate, a rate of three-dimensional acceleration and a three-dimensional orientation each of the ultrasonic probe. The calculation means calculates information on spatial position and spatial variation of the ultrasonic probe on the basis of results detected by the sensing device. The image data generation means generates image data synthesized on the basis of the calculated information. |
