The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for automatically calling a station attendant, the object of which is to solve the inconvenience that a passenger should look for and operate an emergency button in a subway (including an urban railway) station where a ticket gate is used if an error occurs in card tagging. The apparatus for automatically calling a station attendant includes: a ticket gate detecting whether an error occurs when a passenger uses a transportation card, automatically generating an error event if it is determined to be a transportation card error, and transmitting the error event; and a station server generating call information for automatically calling a pre-registered station attendant if the error event transmitted from the ticket gate is received, and automatically calling the attendant by transmitting the generated call information to an attendant terminal carried by the attendant, wherein the station server transmits the call information via a telephone network or by TCP/IP communications so as to automatically call the attendant. |
