Provided are a display apparatus and a method for controlling the same. The method of the present invention comprises the following steps: displaying a search filter generation UI for setting a search word with respect to each of a plurality of categories; when a user command for selecting the search word with respect to at least one category from the categories is inputted by using the generated search filter generation UI, generating a search filter condition by using a selected search word; when a user voice for adding the search word is inputted, adding the search word corresponding to the inputted user voice to the search filter condition; and searching for content by using the search filter condition to which the search word corresponding to the user voice is added. |
