PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of ensuring the strength of an inlet port of a turbocharger heated by exhaust gas while protecting peripheral members connected to the turbocharger.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine of the invention comprises: a cylinder block 10 in which cylinders #1 to #4 are formed; a cylinder head 20 in which a head internal coolant passage 21 and a head internal manifold 22 are formed; and a turbocharger including an inlet port 31. An exhaust outlet 22f is provided at a position offset to be closer to the cylinder #1 out of the cylinders #1 and #4. A thick portion 33a thicker than a second wall surface 34 located opposite to a first wall surface 33 is provided on the first wall surface 33, the first wall surface 33 being located at cylinder #1 side. Furthermore, a thin portion 33b thinner than the thick portion 33a is provided on the first wall surface 33 upstream, in a flow direction of exhaust gas, of the thickened portion 33a. |
