PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for accurately controlling elapsed time from the time when hydrophilization treatment is carried out in a simple step, in a hydrophilized cell culture vessel.SOLUTION: A method of controlling a cell culture vessel comprises: a cell culture vessel preparation step of preparing a cell culture vessel comprising a bottom part in which at least part of a surface is hydrophilized and at least one microwell which is arranged on the bottom part and in which at least part of a surface is hydrophilized; a bubble volume measurement step of introducing liquid to the at least one microwell in which at least part of a surface is hydrophilized and measuring volume aof bubbles formed on the hydrophilized surface of the microwell in the liquid, at an elapsed time tfrom the time when hydrophilization treatment is carried out; a contact angle acquisition step of acquiring a contact angle &thetas;with the liquid corresponding to the volume aof bubbles by applying a relation between a contact angle &thetas; with the liquid in the hydrophilized surface of the microwell and the volume a of bubbles formed on the hydrophilized surface of the microwell in the liquid, to the volume aof bubbles obtained in the bubble volume measurement step; and an elapsed time acquisition step of obtaining the elapsed time tcorresponding to the contact angle &thetas;with the liquid by applying a relation of secular change of the contact angle &thetas; with the liquid in the hydrophilized surface of the microwell, to the contact angle &thetas;with the liquid obtained in the contact angle acquisition step. |
