PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: positive electrode active material particle powder for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which is high in capacity and cycle characteristic, and low in cost; a production method of such positive electrode active material particle powder; and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: Positive electrode active material particle powder for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries has a lamellar rock salt structure, and comprises a complex oxide including at least Li, Ni and Mn. The positive electrode active material particle powder has a peak in a range of 4.25-4.45 V in a graph prepared by plotting a voltage for a horizontal axis, and a value dQ/dV determined by differentiation of an initial charging capacity with respect to the voltage for a vertical axis in regard to a coin cell of 2032 type having one electrode formed by use of the positive electrode active material particle powder and the other electrode serving as a counter electrode and formed by use of Li, which has been initially charged to 4.6 V under an environment of 60°C. |
