PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a functional film capable of suppressing film thickness irregularity of the functional film, and of preventing occurrence of light emission irregularity of the functional film in a case where a coating head is made to scan one coating region several times to form the functional film.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a functional film includes: a first coating step of making a coating head filled with ink relatively scan a substrate, and discharging the ink from a plurality of nozzles of the coating head to a part of one sectioned region to form a first coating region; and a second coating step of making the coating head relatively scan the substrate in parallel with a scanning path of the coating head in the first coating step so that a part of the scanning range is overlapped, and discharging the ink to at least a part of the remaining part of the one sectioned region to form a second coating region. Discharge amounts of the ink in the first coating step and the second coating step are adjusted.
