PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that allows an operator who does not hold a special operation apparatus to perform an operation, such as, a selection, determination, expansion/contraction operation, on an object (target) easily.SOLUTION: In an information processing unit, an information processing method for executing a predetermined process in association with an object displayed on a screen includes: successively acquiring position information indicating detected positions pertaining to each of one or more portions in an instructed object, and successively determining positions of pointer displayed on the screen in accordance with one or more positions indicated by the position information (S12); successively calculating positions of a guide pointer to be displayed on the screen on the basis of the positions of the pointer so that the guide pointer follows the pointer under a certain condition (S18); and executing a predetermined process on the position of the guide pointer when a locus of the position of the pointer satisfies a predetermined condition (S16). |
