PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper processing device capable of detecting a sheet continuously carried to the downstream side by remaining on a paper carrying passage, by a paper detector, even when cut chips being an unnecessary sheet are removed to the outside of the paper carrying passage, from a sheet of applying cutting processing along the carrying direction.SOLUTION: A paper processing device comprises a slit processing unit 40 for cutting a sheet along the carrying direction of the sheet S by a cutting blade 801 and a removal member 50 for removing cut chips SW to the outside of a paper carrying passage among sheets cut by the cutting blade 801, the removal member 50 comprises cut chip removal means 5 displaceably provided in a contact position for removing the cut chips SW to the outside of the paper carrying passage and a paper detector 90 provided on the downstream side in the paper carrying direction more than the cut chip removal means 5 and detecting a predetermined place of the sheet S continuously carried by remaining on the paper carrying passage by removing the cut chips SW, and the paper detector 90 is provided within a carrying range in the width direction of the continuously carried sheet S. |
