PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil level detector capable of appropriately actuating a float even if an internal combustion engine is inclined.SOLUTION: An oil level detector 100 is used in an internal combustion engine for detecting an oil level height of engine oil stored in the internal combustion engine. The oil level detector 100 comprises: a housing 10 including a cylindrical shaft portion 33; a float 60 forming a central hole 64; and a lead switch 40 detecting a position of the float 60 displacing vertically along the cylindrical shaft portion 33 inserted into the central hole 64. The oil level detector 100 is supported and suspended by a support mechanism 70 relatively to a sensor stay 91 provided in the internal combustion engine. The support mechanism 70 permits the housing 10 to be inclined with respect to the sensor stay 91. |
