PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polybenzoxazole resin production method that allows for production of polybenzoxazole resin having excellent mechanical property such as tensile elongation, and chemical resistance, and having high transparency with suppressed coloration, even when a polybenzoxazole precursor is subjected to heat treatment at a low temperature.SOLUTION: There is provided the polybenzoxazole resin production method in which a polybenzoxazole precursor is obtained by reacting aromatic diamine diol and di-formyl compound or dicarboxylic acid di-halide in a solvent containing an amide compound or urea compound having a particular structure, and polybenzoxazole resin is formed by heating the polybenzoxazole precursor at 120 to 350°C. |
