PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast piece scarfing device of which an entire device is made compact.SOLUTION: Provided is a cast piece scarfing device 10 in which flames burning combustible gas blown out from a gas nozzle 13 are applied to a scarfing surface 57 of a cast piece 11 to be scarfed, in order to perform preheating so that a fusion zone is disposed. The cast piece scarfing device 10 includes a powder nozzle 46 which blows out iron powder toward the flames and supplies the scarfing surface 57 with the iron powder which undergoes oxidation and combustion by contacting the flames. Since an iron wire is not used as kindling in preheating, a mechanism for feeding the iron wire, a mechanism for winding and storing the iron wire, and the like are eliminated and thereby an entire device is made compact.
