PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage DC transmission system, particularly an arrestor verification method of the high voltage DC transmission system.SOLUTION: An arrester verification device for verifying an arrester inside a high voltage DC transmission system includes: an insulation design part for generating an insulation model of the HVDC system; an arrester modeling part for generating an arrester model which satisfies an arrester specification selected for the arrestor inside the insulation model of the HVDC system; a simulation test part for testing the arrestor model in a simulation manner in the insulation model of the HVDC system and outputting an arrester simulation test result; a comparison part for acquiring an arrester characteristic test result and comparing the arrestor characteristic test result and the arrester simulation test result; and a result output part for outputting a verification result of the arrester based on a comparison of the arrestor characteristic test result and the arrestor simulation test result.
