PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately secure the power storage amount of a battery required for performing idling stops, and suppress unnecessary charging of the battery, improving fuel economy.SOLUTION: A vehicle control apparatus performs: calculating an auxiliary-equipment current volume to be used in vehicle-incorporated auxiliary equipment; calculating a stop time ratio of a vehicle on the basis of a vehicular travel history to derive estimated stop time of the vehicle estimated on the basis of the stop time ratio; setting an SOC threshold on the basis of the estimated stop time and an estimated consumption current volume calculated from the auxiliary-equipment current volume; and operating a generator incorporated in the vehicle so that the battery power storage state recovers to the state of exceeding the SOC threshold in a case where the battery power storage state is less than the SOC threshold. |
