PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter capable of preventing color mixture between adjacent pixels by thinning a color pixel and an overcoat and avoiding coating defects, such as keratin.SOLUTION: The color filter includes at least black matrixes, color pixels having a plurality of colors and an overcoat layer in this order on a transparent substrate. A taper angle &thetas; between a superimposed part interface of the black matrix on the color pixel and the surface of the transparent substrate is 45° or more and 80° or less, and a ratio of the thickness of the color pixel to the thickness of the overcoat is one or mor and two or less. The color pixels have a pattern formed by a colored layer consisting of a photosensitive coloring composition including an organic color, a transparent resin, a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond and a photoinitiator. A ratio of the monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond to the transparent resin is 0.5 or more and 0.7 or less. |
