TRUING DEVICE, TRUING METHOD, AND MACHINING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form grooves in a grinding stone to be used for cutting and grinding to prevent generation of burrs and improve machining efficiency.SOLUTION: A truing device 40 trues a grinding stone 21 to be used in a machining device 10 for bringing the grinding stone 21 into contact with a workpiece so as to machine the workpiece. The truing device 40 includes: a laser beam irradiation section 41 for irradiating a contact surface of the grinding stone 21 in contact with the workpiece with laser beams; a condenser lens 42 for condensing laser beams applied from the laser beam irradiation section 41 on the contact surface; and rotation means mounted with the grinding stone 21 thereon and rotating the grinding stone 21. The rotation means rotates the grinding stone 21 and the contact surface of the rotated grinding stone 21 is irradiated with laser beams so as to form grooves in the grinding stone 21.
