PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage DC power transmission system and a control method for the same that can sense low-frequency vibration on the high voltage DC power transmission system and attenuate the sensed low-frequency vibration.SOLUTION: A high voltage DC power transmission system has a rectifying device for converting AC power to DC power, an inverter for converting the DC power to AC power, a DC power transmission path for transmitting the DC power converted by the rectifying device to the inverter, a first effective power measuring unit for measuring first effective power input to the rectifying device, a second effective power measuring unit for measuring second effective power output from the inverter, and a first controller for detecting an abnormal voltage state on the DC power transmission passage on the basis of the measured first effective power and second effective power. The first controller senses vibration occurring in the high voltage DC power transmission system, and generates a control signal for attenuating the sensed vibration to control at least one of the rectifying device and the inverter. |
