PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the determination accuracy of the area separation of an image without causing any cost increase, even if there is a machinery difference variation, or the like, in the light intensity.SOLUTION: An image formation device 100 includes an area separation processing section 2400 for generating an area separation signal indicating an area depending on the image type, by collating the image data read in a reading section 70 with an adjustment value after area separation correction, and an area separation correcting section 2600 for obtaining an optical feature value being set in association with a correction value for correcting an area separation reference adjustment value, that is a gain value acquired during gain adjustment in the reading section 70, and storing the optical feature value in a storage section 4000. The area separation correcting section 2600 includes an area separation correction value calculating section 2620 for outputting an adjustment value after area separation correction, obtained by correcting the area separation reference adjustment value with the correction value, to the area separation processing section 2400. |
