PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carburetor for raising the delivery ratio of a laminar scavenging-air type engine thereby to improve an emission characteristic while reducing an intake resistance to improve the combustion state.SOLUTION: Between a throttle valve 204 and a choke valve 242, there is no partition wall so that a clearance 244 between the two valves 204 and 242 is opened. The intake air of both the upstream region and the downstream region of the choke valve 242 flow into the downstream mixture passage 246 of a throttle valve 204 in the fully open state. A main nozzle 202 is arranged at an inclination toward the throttle valve 204.
