The present invention relates to a luminous display hand set for a portable object. The portable object comprises a frame (58) wherein an electric energy source (56) has a first terminal and a second terminal. The luminous display hand set is formed of an electrically nonconductive material and comprises at least first and second luminous display hands (38, 40) having a hole (48, 74) for the penetration of drive arbors (50, 76). The drive arbor (76) of the second luminous display hand (40) is concentrically arranged inside the drive arbor (50) of the first luminous display hand (38). The first and second luminous display hands (38, 40) respectively carry first and second light sources (54, 80) emitting light. The first and second light sources (54, 80) respectively comprise a first pole and a second pole. Depending on whether the light sources are mounted in parallel or in series, a first pole (80A) or a second pole (80B) of the second light source (80) is in contact with a first pole (54A) of the first light source (54) by the contact between the first and second luminous display hands (38, 40). |
