The present invention relates to a device for managing a smart microgrid and a method thereof. The device for managing a smart microgrid includes: an information collection unit collecting and storing information including one or more among gross generation of distributed power, electric power consumption, and energy storage capacity in a predetermined area from the smart microgrid; a linkage control unit linking the smart microgrid of an electricity surplus area and an electricity shortage area, using a linkage device, by determining the electricity shortage area and the electricity surplus area based on the collected information; and a voltage control unit controlling a secondary voltage of a transformer such that the secondary voltage of the transformer in the areas to be linked is identical. According to the present invention, the device for managing the smart microgrid efficiently manages surplus electricity between area smart microgrids to be efficiently managed and enables power transaction. Also, the generated electricity can be optimized between the smart microgrids, so the device for managing the smart microgrid can contribute to demand and supply of the electricity for a country. |
