PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element having a high photoelectric conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: In a photo electric conversion element having a first electrode, a second electrode and an active layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, the active layer is formed by coating solution of an electron-donative polymer compound and an electron-acceptable polymer compound under inert atmosphere, at least one of the electron-donative polymer compound and the electron-acceptable polymer compound is a polymer compound comprising only one or more kinds of constituent units selected from the group consisting of an arylene group which may have a substituent group and a divalent heterocyclic group which may have a substituent group, the polystyrene-converted weight average molecular weight of the electron-donative polymer compound ranges from not less than 20,000 to not more than 70,000, and the polystyrene-converted weight average molecular weight of the electron-acceptable polymer compound is equal to 70,000 or more. |
