PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromechanical conversion member using an electromechanical conversion element having good polarization characteristics, and a droplet discharge head.SOLUTION: In an electromechanical conversion member including a holding substrate 26 provided to displaceably cover an electromechanical conversion element in which a common electrode 161, a piezoelectric film 162, and an individual electrode 163 are laminated, the electromechanical conversion element is subjected to polarization processing by bonding a terminal electrode 19 for grounding and the top face of the holding substrate 26 with a bonding wire 171a, and supplying electric charge to a terminal electrode 21 for electric charge supply while the holding substrate 26 is connected to the ground, and thereby forming an electric field between electrodes of the electromechanical conversion element. |
