PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimp-style terminal simple in structure and insusceptible to corrosion even in a long-term use.SOLUTION: A crimp-style terminal 1 comprises: a wire barrel part 37 to connect a core wire w1 including aluminum or an aluminum alloy to; and a base material 31 of iron or a corrosion-resistant iron alloy. The crimp-style terminal further comprises at least a first layer 33 provided on the surface of a part of the base material 31 constituting the wire barrel part 37, and a second layer 35 provided on the surface of the first layer 33. The first layer 33 is made of a material which enables the removal of a passive film present on the surface of the base material 31. The second layer 35 is made of a material which enables the increase in corrosion resistance and lubricity, and stabilizes the value of the electric resistance. The wire barrel part 37 includes: a bottom face part 11; and a pair of conductor crimp parts 12A and 12B provided to extend laterally from opposing sides of the bottom face part. In the bottom face part 11, and a conductor-abutting face of at least one of the paired conductor crimp parts 12A and 12B, concave parts 14 are provided. |
