摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece capable of reducing average search time of position information satellites and of reducing power consumption, and further to provide a satellite signal reception method of the timepiece.SOLUTION: An electronic timepiece 1 comprises: reception means (a reception section 18); reception control means; timing means (RTC 21); and satellite storage means (a satellite storage section 23) storing satellite numbers and reception execution time of position information satellites captured by the reception means (reception section 18). The reception control means has: a fixed search mode where the position information satellites are searched in an order set beforehand in the reception means (reception section 18); and a priority search mode where the position information satellite of the satellite number stored in the satellite storage means (satellite storage section 23) by the reception means (reception section 18) is preferentially searched. The reception control means selects one of the fixed search mode and the priority search mode in response to elapsed time from past reception execution time stored in the satellite storage means (satellite storage section 23) and causes the position information satellites to be searched when executing reception processing.
